At approximately 9:40 pm on June 21, 2014 a detached garage became caught fire on the corner of Delmar Street and Victoria Road.

Police Services, Guelph Fire and EMS emergency crews attended the scene. Thick smoke could be seen almost two blocks away, from Stevenson Street as well as York Road.
