Hit and run investigation

On May 31, 2014 at 2:04 p.m. the Guelph Police investigated a hit and run motor vehicle collision that occurred in the alleyway between The Western Bar and Babelfish Bistro off of MacDonell Street. The suspect vehicle appears to be an out of town flatbed towing service vehicle.

Impaired driver - arrest

On June 22, 2014 at 12:52 a.m., the Guelph Police received a report of an erratic driver on the Hanlon Expressway. Police located and conducted a traffic stop with the motor vehicle on Cedar Street. Police spoke with the male driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. He failed this test and was arrested.

Andrew Goetz, 49 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on July 15, 2014.

Break and enter

On June 20, 2014, the Guelph Police went to a Scottsdale Drive residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered through an unlocked rear patio door sometime over the previous day. A theft of a playstation and game is reported.

On June 21, 2014, the Guelph Police went to a College Avenue West residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered an unlocked garage and stole a bicycle.

Drive over 80 mg - arrest

On June 22, 2014 at 2:57 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle in the downtown area. Police spoke with the male driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. He failed this test and was arrested.

Corey Cosman, 24 years of Guelph has been charged with drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on July 8, 2014.
