Missing Person located

On June 15, 2014 the Guelph Police were notified that 19-year-old Andria APULINARIO had not returned home. Further investigation revealed earlier on Sunday morning Andria had taken a bus from Guelph to Mississauga with a friend. She was last seen boarding a bus destined for Toronto at approximately 12pm from Square One in Mississauga.

Andria has been located safe and sound.

Unlawfully in home arrests made

On June 24, 2014, at 1:09 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Kortright Road East residence to investigate concerns from the owner that this recently sold property had people inside when it should have been vacant. Using a key supplied by the owner, police entered and located two males and a female and arrested them all.

A 17-year-old Guelph male has been charged with unlawfully in a dwelling house and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (CDSA). He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 24, 2014.

Theft from cars

Overnight on June 24, 2014 the Guelph Police received seven reports from Guelph residents reporting thefts from their cars. The locations were Gordon Street, Valleyridge Trail, Glasgow Street South, Flanders Road, Ottawa Crescent, Bonar Place and Laurine Avenue.

During the morning of June 24, 2014 the Guelph Police were called to check Edinburgh Road South at 11:10 a.m., after two males were seen trying cars. Both males were located but there was no evidence of theft.

Then at 11:41p.m., Guelph Police were called after three males were seen going through cars in the area of Whetstone Crescent. They were located on Summerfield Drive. Three 16-year-old Guelph males were taken home to one of their parents, no charges were laid.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars and by keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle. Shoplifter

On June 25, 2014 at 4:23 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the area of Edinburgh Road South after Stone Road Mall security advised they were chasing a male that had shoplifted from one of their stores. The male was last seen entering the bush area off Edinburgh Road towards College Avenue. A search was conducted but the male was not located.

He is described as white, in his 30's, bald, has a bump on his left shoulder and tattoos on his left shoulder. He was wearing a grey muscle shirt, black shorts, a baseball cap, had a red watch on his left wrist and an anklet on his right ankle.

Collision investigation

On June 23, 2014, at 5:19 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a three-car collision at the intersection of Edinburgh Road South and Wilsonview Avenue. The two drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Theft from cars arrest made

On June 24, 2014 at 12:11 a.m., the Guelph Police went into the area of Memorial Crescent and Paisley Road in response to the report of a male breaking into vehicles. Police located the responsible male hiding in a side yard on Paisley Road. He was arrested and found to be in possession of a large amount of change and contents believed to be taken from nearby vehicles.

A 42-year-old Guelph male has been charged with trespass by night, possession of stolen property, possession of break and enter tools and breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 24, 2014.
