Speeder charged

On July 10, 2014 at 12:06 a.m., the Guelph Police stopped a motor vehicle on Gordon Street, south of Clair Road after radar clocked it travelling at 123 km/hr in the posted 70 km/hr zone.

The male driver was charged with stunt driving and speeding under the Highway traffic Act. His vehicle was seized for seven days and his driver's licence was suspended for seven days. He will appear in court to answer to the charges.

Theft from cars

The Guelph Police received three reports from Guelph residents reporting thefts from their cars on July 10, 2014. The locations were Durham Street, Balmoral Drive and Stephanie Drive.

The Guelph Police received four reports from Guelph residents reporting thefts from their cars on July 9, 2014. The locations were Mary Street, Hood Street, Hayes Avenue and Galt Street.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars and by keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle. Male arrested after he exposes himself

On July 10, 2014 at 11:55 p.m., the Guelph Police were called to a plaza parking lot on Stone Road West. The callers were two females that alleged that they had gone to a fast food drive through and after receiving their order observed a male just past the window exposing himself.

They immediately called police who located the man in the parking lot and arrested him. Subsequent to his arrest he was searched and a small quantity of Crystal Meth and Hydromorphone were located on him. Further investigation also determined that the man was breaching conditions of his probation.

A 29-year-old Guelph man has been charged with indecent act, four counts of breach probation and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (CDSA).
