Drug arrests made

In the month of July 2014, the Guelph Police Services Drug Enforcement Unit became involved in a marijuana trafficking investigation. A Guelph male was suspected of trafficking bulk amounts of marijuana within Guelph and surrounding areas. On July 24, the investigation led to the arrest of this male.

A search subsequent to his arrest discovered two pounds of marijuana. A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was then executed at the male's residence. Police located approximately eight pounds of marijuana, twenty-three grams of cocaine and $1,000 in cash.

A 29-year-old Guelph man has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 25, 2014.

A 24-year-old Guelph female has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 25, 2014.

Break and enter

On July 24, 2014 at 12:27 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Speedvale Avenue West business to investigate a break and enter. Sometime over the last couple weeks, a fence to a tower area had been cut to gain entry and grounding wire was stolen.

Theft from cars

On July 24, 2014, the Guelph Police received three reports from Guelph residents reporting thefts from their cars. The locations were Schroder Crescent and two on Candlewood Drive.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars and by keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle. Break and enter

On July 24, 2014 at 4:17pm, the Guelph Police went to an Inkerman Street business to investigate a break and enter. They report that a storage container had been entered and tools were stolen.

Break and Enter

On July 27, 2014, the Guelph Police went to a Speedvale Avenue residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered an out building sometime between July 24 and July 27. The theft of a bicycle is reported.
