Bicycles stolen two arrested

On August 14, 2014, at 4:45 a.m., the Guelph Police responded to a residence on Paisley Street for a report of a medical problem. Once inside the residence officers observed several stolen bicycles as well as various bicycle parts and tires located within the residence. Approximately twenty bicycles were seized and a male and female were arrested.

It is believed that some of the bicycles that were located have not yet been reported stolen. Police are urging anyone in the community who has had their bicycle stolen in the recent past to contact the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212 ext. 7241 to make a report. You will need to include descriptors and serial number if available.

A 30-year-old Guelph male has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach recognizance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on August 14, 2014.

A 22-year-old Guelph female has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach probation. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on August 14, 2014.

Male arrested after trying to steal bicycle

On August 14, 2014 at 2:11 a.m., the Guelph Police observed a man cutting the lock of a bicycle on Arnold Street. The man was arrested and a search subsequent to his arrest discovered further stolen items. Investigation determined that these other items had been taken from cars.

Justin Kuiack-Wayne, 19 years of Guelph has been charged with three counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of stolen property and mischief under $5,000.

Break and enter

On August 13, 2014, the Guelph Police went to an Alice Street residence to investigate a break and enter. It is alleged that a man rang the doorbell and when he received no answer, went to the rear of the property and started to pry at the door.

The resident was home but had not answered the door when the doorbell rang. The police were called and were able to locate the man in a neighbour's yard and he was arrested.

Brandon Duncan, 36 years of Guelph has been charged with break and enter to a dwelling and breach probation. He will appear in court on September 23, 2014.

Break and enter

On August 14, 2014 at 7:03 a.m., the Guelph Police received the report of a break and enter to an Oakwood Avenue residence. The culprit(s) gained entry to the garage through an unlocked door sometime overnight. Two bicycles are reported stolen.
