Starting on September 28, 2016, the City and Brantco Construction will begin to work to

  1. Remove and repair concrete curbs
  2. Raise manholes, and
  3. Repave the road surface.

All work will take place on City property.

Road work is expected to start on or about September 28 and continue for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

Lane reductions<
There will be a lane reduction but two-way traffic will be maintained for the duration of the work. Some noise due to equipment movement may be expected during work hours (Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) The contractor will make every effort to minimize noise.

Property access and parking
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways within the work area during working hours (Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) Temporary delays due to road work and equipment movement should be expected. All driveway access will be restored at the end of each work day.

On-street parking will not be permitted in the work area for duration of the work.

Pedestrian access
Pedestrian sidewalk access will be maintained.

City services
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.

The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important construction project. Updates will be posted at guelph.ca/construction.
