GRAFFITI TO PERTH EAST RECREATION COMPLEX

(PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday February 4, 2017 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of graffiti that had been done to the Perth East Recreation Complex located on Temperance Street in the Township of Perth East (Milverton).

Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) had spray painted four separate areas on the rear of the building with yellow or orange colored spray paint. It is believed that the damage occurred sometime during the weekend.

STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION

(PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Wednesday February 1, 2017 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a collision at the intersection of the Perth Oxford Road in Township of Perth South and the 11th Line of Zorra Township.

Through investigation it was determined that shortly before noon a collision occurred between a Volvo wagon that had been travelling east bound on the Perth Oxford Road and a white GMC Sierra pick-up truck that had been travelling north bound on the 11th Line of Zorra Township.

The pick-up, as a result of the initial impact, then struck a hydro pole. After the collision the driver of the pickup involved in this collision got into another dark colored Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck that had been following it and fled the scene. Both of these pick-up trucks were reported stolen.

There was significant damage to both motor vehicles involved in this collision, but no reported injuries.

The driver that fled the scene is described as white, male, 19 to 25 years-of-age, thin build, wearing baggy clothing and a flat brimmed hat.

SEVERAL REPORTS OF VANDALISM IN NORTH PERTH

(NORTH PERTH, ON) Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating three separate incidents of graffiti that occurred in a short period of time in the Municipality of North Perth.

On Thursday January 26, 2017 between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. two motor vehicles parked in a lot on Elizabeth Street East were spray painted with offensive language.

On Thursday January 26, 2017 between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. unknown person(s) spray painted an offensive symbol on a building on Main Street West.

On Friday January 27, 2017 police received another report of another offensive symbol that had been spray painted on the side of a business on Main Street East. It is believed to have occurred overnight, outside normal business hours.

All three incidents were done with red spray paint. Police continue to investigate and are seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect(s) responsible.

FIRE AT BUSINESS ON TREMAINE AVENUE SOUTH

(NORTH PERTH, ON) On February 2, 2017, shortly after 2:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the North Perth Fire Department were dispatched to a roof top fire at a business on Tremaine Avenue South.

Tremaine Avenue South from Line 84 to Bright Street East was closed while emergency crews worked to extinguish the fire. It has since re-opened.
