COUNTERFEIT MONEY, ST MARYS

(ST MARYS, ON) -Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recently responded to four separate incidents of suspected counterfeit money being used at commercial businesses in the Town of St Marys.

The bank notes seized were all Canadian currency in $100 denominations.

All suspected counterfeit bank notes must be turned over to police. Timely reporting helps police and prosecutors identify suspects. Business owners should be suspicious if these large denomination bills are used for relatively small purchases.

THEFT OF FLATBED TRAILER AND SKID STEER

(WEST PERTH, ON) - On Tuesday April 11, 2017 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of the theft of a flatbed trailer and skid steer from a rural location on Line 28 in the Municipality of West Perth.

Investigation revealed that the theft occurred between 2:00 p.m. on April 10, 2017 and 10:00 a.m. on April 11, 2017. Unknown suspect(s) entered the property and removed a flatbed trailer and all its contents that had been parked there.

Items taken included:
* Black, 26' Load-Max flatbed trailer equipped with dual axles and double tires
* John Deere Skid Steer with steel tracks, Model #JD317SSL
* Forks and bucket for skid steer
* 2 hydraulic grapples for skid steer
* Gas air compressor
* two 24 foot aluminum ladders
* 3 Stihl chainsaws
* Kubota diesel generator GL6500S

Total value of items taken is estimated to be approximately $60,000.
