COLLISION AT INTERSECTION OF ROAD 121 AND LINE 80

(PERTH EAST, ON)- Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently on the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Perth Road 121 and Line 80 in the Township of Perth East.

Both involved drivers have been taken to a local area hospital with minor injuries. The intersection has been partially closed while awaiting the arrival of a heavy tow truck to remove one of the vehicles that remain at the scene. The Ministry of Environment has been notified for fuel that leaked from one of the involved motor vehicles.

Lane restrictions are in effect and drivers should be aware that this may cause delays and plan accordingly.

The intersection is anticipated to be completely reopened within the next hour.

The investigation into this collision is ongoing.

MAN ARRESTED FOR BREACH OF PROHIBITION ORDER

(TOWN OF ST.MARYS, ON) - On Saturday July 8, 2017 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified by alert citizens of a suspicious person observed at Milt Dunnell Field (The Flats) in the Town of St. Marys at approximately 6:00 p.m. that same day.

Investigation by officers resulted in the arrest of a male party who was breaching a court prohibition order. The accused had been using a white colored, early model motor home in the park area.

47 year-old John LACROIX of Stratford has been charged with Fail to Comply with Prohibition regarding children contrary to the Criminal Code.

Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have been approached or had contact with this male party to contact investigators. SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION, NORTH PERTH

(NORTH PERTH, ON) - On Tuesday July 11, 2017 shortly after 2:00 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North Perth Fire Department and Perth County Paramedic Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle that had struck a hydro pole. ORNGE air ambulance is also on scene.

Perth Road 152 between Line 88 and Line 89 in the Municipality of North Perth has been closed to assist first responders in dealing with this collision.

Drivers should be aware that this road closure may cause delays and plan accordingly.

TWO FIREARMS TAKEN DURING BREAK IN

(WEST PERTH, ON) - On Friday July 7, 2017 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a break and enter at a residence on Perth Road 149 in the Municipality of West Perth.

Investigation revealed that the break in occurred between the evening of Thursday July 6, 2017 and the morning of Friday July 7, 2017. The suspect(s) forcibly entered the residence while the owner had been away and took two firearms and ammunition. The firearms were a 12 gauge Remington Wingmaster shotgun and a .22 calibre Ithaca rifle.
