Guelph Y Receives Zehrs Donations

Web posted on July 14, 2017

GUELPH, ON Thursday, July 13, 2017 The Guelph Y is delighted to once again receive the support of Zehrs' "Give a Little, Help a Lot" campaign to assist children in Guelph and Wellington County. The campaign encourages members of the community to support healthy, active living opportunities for children by donating to the Guelph Y.

From Thursday, July 13 to Wednesday, July 26, Zehrs Market stores in Ontario invites shoppers to Give a Little, Help a Lot by adding $2 to their grocery bill in support of the Y. All funds collected from Zehrs will provide the financial assistance to allow kids in Guelph to participate in health-focused Y programs, such as summer day camp.

"The Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign enables children, no matter their financial circumstances, to attend the Y to get active, learn new skills, and to gain confidence and friends," says Geoff Vogt, Chief Executive Officer at the Guelph Y. "We ask the Guelph community to help create these meaningful development experiences for our children by donating to support Y programs."

The Y has always advocated for and supported the development of happy and healthy children. With the support of the community, the Y is able to continue to provide meaningful experiences for children specifically to pursue healthy and active lifestyles. For eight years, Zehrs Markets and their parent company, Loblaw Companies Limited, have been working with the Y to create opportunities for children to become healthier, and reach their full potential.
