Construction Closes Section of Elmira Road

Web posted on August 28, 2017

The City is installing underground water testing equipment to help find water leaks in City pipes so that repairs can be completed. This work will reduce water lost during delivery to customers.

Elmira Road closed Flaherty to Speedvale starting August 28

Construction will start on or about August 28 and take about one week to complete, weather permitting.

Elmira Road will be closed between Flaherty Drive and Speedvale Avenue. The detour is via Willow Road, Imperial Road and Speedvale Avenue.

For the safety of the community, please do not use residential roads for detours.

Guelph Transit
Guelph Transit route 20 will be detoured during the work. Visit guelph.ca/transit for more information.

Property access and parking
Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected but it anticipated that very little disturbance will be noticed.

No impacts to City services

There will be no interruption of water service during construction.

The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important construction project. Any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
