Impaired Driving Arrest

On September 1, 2017, at 2:53 AM Guelph Police stopped a vehicle on Victoria Road North in Guelph and arrested the driver for Impaired Driving.

Zachary SPRAGUE 20 years of Guelph was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive over 80 under the Criminal Code. He was further charged with Novice Driver BAC above Zero and Young Driver BAC above zero s.44.1(2) under the Highway Traffic Act.

He will appear in court in September.

Disturbance Arrest

On September 3, 2017, at 10:53 AM Guelph Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the Emergency room of the Guelph General Hospital at 115 Delhi Street in Guelph. Officers arrived and found that the responsible male had picked up a chair and threw it at the wall causing damage. The responsible male was arrested.

Nicholas KISSIL 28 years of Guelph was charged with Mischief under $5000 and will appear in court in October.

Guelph Police Respond to two break-in's this weekend

On September 1, 2017, at 4:13 PM Guelph Police were dispatched to a suspicious male call at a vacant building on Wyndham Street South that is scheduled for demolition. When the officers arrived they found that someone had removed the boarding that was used to secure the premise, and a male was located inside the building.

Julian HOLMAN 56 years of Guelph was charged with Break, Enter and Commit Mischief Under $5000.00 and will appear in court in October.

On September 1st, 2017, at 6:15 PM a home owner returned to their residence on Kent Street in Guelph and found an unknown male inside. Guelph Police were called and the male was arrested.

A 32-year-old Guelph male was charged with Break, Enter and Theft and two counts of Breach Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

MISSING GIRL FOUND

The missing 14 year old girl reported missing yesterday has been found safe and sound. She was located by Peel Regional Police and returned home.

Guelph Police would like to thank everyone on social media that assisted by spreading the word. The response was absolutely incredible with over 120,000 people viewing the missing person post.

Guelph Police received notification of people sharing the story from all parts of the province. There is no doubt that everyone working together to spread the word was a large part of this girl being found.

Break and Enter Arrest Made

On September 5, 2017 at approximately 8:30am, a male entered into the backyard of an Applewood Crescent home, where he was confronted by the resident. The resident called police and the suspicious male fled the area.

Police were able to find the suspicious male a short distance away. The male is alleged to have items on his person that are from a break-in at a different location. As a result of the subsequent investigation, Charles Otto, a 29 year old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with break and enter.
