Security Guard Assaulted At Downtown Bar

On November 17th, 2019, at 12:48am, an adult female security guard working the door of a bar located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph dropped money on the ground. An adult male patron picked up the money and put it in his pocket. The male refused to give the money back and a confrontation ensued. The patron ended up shoving the security guard, grabbing her by the arm, swinging her around and throwing her to the floor. The patron then fled on foot.

The security guard sustained bruising and swelling to numerous areas of her body and required medical attention.

Vehicle Struck Building And Took Off

On November 18th, 2019, at approximately 7pm, a vehicle struck the corner of a business located near the intersection of Clair Road East and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph, causing significant damage.

Construction Site Break In Results In Fire

Some time on the evening of November 16th, 2019, a construction site located on the east end of the City of Guelph was entered for a second time in a week. A fire was started in the penthouse of the building using several pieces of worker safety equipment, and then several pieces of the equipment was thrown down an open elevator shaft causing significant damage.

Garage Break in

Some time between 11:18pm and 11:48pm on November 14th, 2019, a residential garage located on the east end of the City of Guelph was entered. A vehicle inside the garage was rummaged through and a Costco cooler bag was taken. A black Kia Sol was observed in the area at the time of the break in.

Shed Break in

Some time overnight on November 17th, 2019, the backyard shed of a residence located on the west end of the City of Guelph was entered. The lock of the shed was damaged but nothing was taken.

Silver 2012 Chrysler 300 Stolen

Some time between 10pm on November 17th and 8:15am on November 18th, 2019, a silver 2012 Chrysler 300 was taken from the driveway of a residence located in the south end of the City of Guelph.

Multiple Items Stolen During Break In

Some time between November 9th and 17th, 2019, a residence located on the west end of the City of Guelph was entered. Multiple items were taken and extensive damage was caused inside the residence.

Jewelry And Watches Stolen During Break In

Some time between 6am on November 15th and 5pm on November 17th, 2019, a residence located on the west end of the City of Guelph was entered. Multiple items were taken including jewelry and watches.

Shoplifter Arrested

On November 17th, 2019, the Loss Prevention Officer of a business located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph, observed an adult female shoplifting $93.78 worth of merchandise.

Police attended the scene and arrested her.

A 60 year old Guelph female has been charged with Theft Under $5,000.

She will appear in court on January 15th, 2020.

Multiple Thefts From Motor Vehicles

Some time on the morning of November 17th, 2019, a vehicle parked at an off-leash dog park located near the intersection of Kortright Road West and Hanlon Parkway in the City of Guelph was entered. A rock was used to smash in the front passenger window and a bag was taken.

On November 17th, 2019, at 10:30pm, a vehicle parked at a business located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road North and Speedvale Avenue West was entered. Multiple items including the ownership and insurance cards were stolen. The owner of the vehicle followed the male suspect but eventually lost sight of him before police arrived at the scene.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 25 years old and wearing black clothing.
