Domestic Arrest

On December 28th, 2019, Police attended to a local gas station located on Edinburgh Road in regard to a domestic incident that took place in a vehicle. The victim, a 31 year old female from Cambridge was driving her vehicle in Guelph with her boyfriend when a verbal altercation ensued. The argument escalated and as a result of the incident, the interior of the victim's vehicle was damaged. A 30 year old male from Cambridge was arrested for Mischief Under $5,000. He was transported to the station and later released on a Promise to Appear.

 Breach Arrest

On December 29th, 2019, Police attended to an address on Fife Road and arrested a 34 year old Guelph male for breaching his undertaking. On December 27th, 2019, the accused male was arrested and placed on numerous conditions upon release, one being that he must be within his residence between the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am. On December 28th, 2019, Police conducted a compliance check at 11:16pm. The accused was not located at his residence and as a result, he was in breach of his release conditions for being out past his curfew. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear.

Indecent Act

On December 26th, 2019, at approximately 12:00pm, a 33 year old female from Toronto was walking on Paisley Street between Glasgow Street North and Dublin Street North when an unknown male with a bicycle exposed himself while walking past her. The male is described as white, 40-50 years of age, 5'8, and medium build, approximately 180lbs, clean shaven with a round face. The male was wearing a hoodie over his head, a black jacket that was zipped up all the way and dark jeans. The bicycle was also dark in color with flat handle bars.

Domestic Dispute

On December 26th, 2019, Police responded to a report of a domestic incident located at an address on Skov crescent. While Police were on scene, a 47 year old Guelph female reported a series of historical assaults involving her male partner. As a result of the investigation, a 52 year old Guelph male was charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Assault by Choking. He was further held for a bail hearing at the Guelph Police Service.

Collision

On December 26th, 2019, Police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Grange Road and Victoria Street North. The responsible driver and passenger were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The responsible driver was further charged with Careless Driving as a result of the collision.

Sexual Assault

On December 27th, 2019, at approximately 7:00am, a 20 year old Guelph female was working at a local business on Gordon Street when she was physically attacked by a male not known to her. The victim was able to escape the male and with the assistance of a witness the Police soon after located and arrested the suspect at the corner of Nottingham Street and Dublin Street. As a result of the incident a 30 year old Guelph male was charged with Sexual Assault, Indecent Act and two counts of Breach Probation. He was transported to the Guelph Police Service where he was further held for a bail hearing. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
