Recall - Two Halloween Costumes

Spirit Feather Angel Wings
This recall involves Spirit brand Halloween "Feather Angel Wings" that are available in two colours and can be identified by the following UPCs:
- Black wings - UPC 01039619
- White wings - UPC 01039627
The recalled products were manufactured in China by Fun World of New York, New York; and distributed in North America by Spencer Gifts LLC, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The recalled Feather Angel Wings were sold in stores and on-line from September 2009 to October 2012.
Approximately 760 units of the recalled black Feather Angel Wings (UPC 01039619) and approximately 560 of the recalled white Feather Angel Wings (UPC 01039627) were sold in Canada at Spirit Halloween stores. Approximately 4 units of the recalled feather wings were sold on-line to Canadians.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Halloween costumes and return it to their local Spirit Halloween store for a cash refund. Following the closure of the stores at the end of October, customers may return the recalled product to a local Spencer Gifts store.
Skelanimal "Kit the Cat" Costume
This recall involves Kit the Cat children's Halloween costume. This costume set includes a dress with an attached hoodie, glovelettes, leggings, and a purse. It can be identified by the item number 00294 and the following UPCs:
- Small - 019519043507
- Medium - 019519043514
- Large - 019519043521
- X-Large - 019519043538.
The recalled product was manufactured in China and distributed by California Costumes Company, of Los Angeles, California.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Halloween costume and return it to California Costumes. The recalled Halloween costumes were sold from August 2011 to September 2012.Approximately 888 units of the recalled Halloween costumes were sold in Canada.

Health Canada's sampling and testing program revealed that the some components of the Spirit brand Feather Angel Wings do not meet the requirements for textile flammability under Canadian law.
This Halloween accessory could easily catch on fire and cause serious burns to consumers if exposed to a flame or other heat sources such as candles, matches or lighters.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incident or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these costumes.
