Drinking and Driving Charges

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On Thursday October 18, 2012 at approximately 7:55pm County of Wellington OPP officers received information regarding a possible impaired driver travelling northbound on Eramosa Road approaching Brant Avenue in the City of Guelph. Officers observed a 2001 Chevy Cavalier in that area that matched the description and noted that it was being operated erratically. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking.

Scott Hutchings aged 40 of Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with Over 80 and Impaired Driving contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on November 13, 2012 to answer to the charges.

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On Friday October 19, 2012 at approximately 12:55am County of Wellington OPP officers received information regarding a motor vehicle collision on County Road 124 near County Road 32 involving a possible impaired driver that was operating a 2006 Land Rover. Police located the vehicle and spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking.

Jason MacDonald aged 32 of Kitchener has been charged with Over 80 and Impaired Driving contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on November 16, 2012 to answer to the charges.
