Fire Destroys Building - Grey County October 22, 2012

FIRE DESTROYS BUILDING – NO INJURIES
(CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Sunday, October 21, 2012 at approximately 3:08 p.m.., Grey County Ontario Police (OPP) received a report of a house fire on Cook Street, Meaford, in the Municipality of Meaford.

The Meaford Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire. The older single storey residence, which had been converted into three apartments, was destroyed.

The fire appears to have originated on the front porch of one of the apartments. The fire is not considered suspicious.

All the residents inside were able to exit the building unharmed. There were no injuries reported.

The investigation is continuing.
