Crime Stoppers Corner - October 2017 Edition

Web posted on October 05, 2017

We are thankful for the wonderful municipalities we represent; the City of Guelph and the County of Wellington. CSGW appreciates the assets and challenges each community faces, and recognizes that the issues facing residents in Wellington North are not the same as those in Puslinch or in the various regions in Guelph. We look forward to continuing to work hard to take our message to all corners of our territory.

We are also thankful for our media partners who willingly make space in their publications, find airtime, share on their websites and social media platforms, our Crime of the Week features and awareness and fundraising efforts.

We thank you for sharing our successes, such as when we announce how much money was raised at a recent fundraiser. We want the public to know how much their support matters, and we couldn't do it without our print media, broadcast media and online media.

We appreciate the unique relationships we enjoy with both Wellington County OPP and Guelph Police Service, as well as the other investigative agencies we work with. This includes Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, University of Guelph Campus Police, and the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, to name but a few. We take pride in assisting to resolve the crimes you are working on, and appreciate the support you offer to CSGW.

Lastly, and most importantly, we are thankful for the members of the public who support CSGW in so many ways. Whether it's applying to volunteer at one of our events or as a member of our Board of Directors, financially supporting us at one of our many fundraisers, or requesting a community presentation to better understand how we operate, we need you!

To those members of the public who pick up the phone or go online to our website to give anonymous and confidential information as a Tipster, we are most grateful, and the public is as well. While the community will never know the steps you've taken to keep your friends, neighbors and family safe, we do and vow to keep your identity hidden and your information secure. Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving.
