Man enters home, threatens woman

Web posted on November 25, 2019

A man holding a knife startled a Guelph woman in her livingroom Thursday afternoon forcing her to flee from her home through a back door.

The man blocked the front door to prevent the woman's escape from her home in the College Avenue and Gordon Street area of the city.

When police arrived, a brief footchase began when the man tried to evade capture.  He failed.

The man had two knives, two identity documents not belonging to him and "various pieces of stolen property."

A 20-year-old Burlington man has been charged with possession of identification documents, break, enter and commit and two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon for a dangerous purpose.
