Male Arrested For Hit And Run

On February 2nd, 2020, at 10:24am, an adult male crashed into a vehicle that was parked in a commercial parking lot located near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North in the City of Guelph. The male then immediately left the parking lot and drove away. Police attended the scene and located the male a short distance away after crashing his car into a snowbank.
At 10:33am, the male was arrested.
A 61 year old male has been charged with Fail To Stop After Accident.
He will appear in court on March 27th, 2020.

Male Arrested For Setting Off Fireworks

On February 1st, 2020, at 7:52pm, an adult male set off a firework in the hallway of an apartment building located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. Due to the smoke from the firework, the building fire alarm system was automatically set off. The Guelph Fire Department attended the scene, cleared the smoke from the hallway and reset the fire alarm system.
On February 2nd, 2020, at 10:30pm, police located the male in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. He was subsequently arrested.
A 41 year old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Mischief Under $5,000
-Breach Probation
He will appear in court on March 10th, 2020. 

Numerous Motor Vehicle Collisions And Driving Complaints

Over the past 24 hours, six motor vehicle collisions and five driving complaints were reported to the Guelph Police Service. These incidents occurred all throughout the City of Guelph.
The Guelph Police Service would like to remind the public to slow down and drive for the conditions to help ensure that everyone reaches their destination safely.
